Im not sure what happened with my period..?

Okay so ive been having my period for around 5 days. Bu yesterday evening it stoped? So i though it was over so i put on a clean pad and went to bed. In the morning there was brown discharge..? Whitch is normal i guess. But then i took a shower and i got out and put on a pad and then i blead again?!? What does this mean? I just like randomly stopped?
